AIIA offers many classroom continuing education courses across the state. Classes are listed below and you can register online through our Education & Event Registration Calendar.

WEBINAR FAQ - this document will assist you before taking one of our webinars.

1st & 2nd Quarter Classes will now be WEBINARS. This will include any classes in January to end of June. 

Hopefully, "LIVE" classes will resume in the 3rd Quarter, but subject to CDC regulations and travel safety of our instructors; it is possible we may have to convert to webinars. 

2021 CIC / CRM Course Dates & Topics

Due to the ongoing COVID Virus, all 1st & 2nd quarter classes will now be WEBINARS. We hope to continue with live classes after June, but will update accordingly depending on the current situation.

Institutes held at the Association office will be two-full days of class with testing on the third day.

If Institutes convert to webinars, then they will consist of two full days of webinars and will be split into two parts each day with poll questions to verify "Attendance". You will receive "two" links (one per day) for the institutes, along with instructions for testing. Testing will be available the following Monday through The National Alliance and CE is file with The National Alliance.

Links will come from Michelle McKee with a GoToWebinar domain. If you have any technical issues with the webinar, please reach out to her. Tangerie Underwood will send you an email with the Notebook and instructions for the course. She can also answer any questions regarding education, but may have to defer to The National Alliance.  We use the GoToWebinar platform and it is best used in CHROME.

ANY ALABAMA CIC WHO RECEIVED THEIR CIC DESIGNATION PRIOR TO 1/1/2013 IS EXEMPT FROM CE AS LONG AS THEY ARE IN GOOD STANDING WITH THE NATIONAL ALLIANCE.  AFTER 1/1/2013, YOU ARE NOT EXEMPT FROM CE AND ETHICS AND CE CREDIT IS REQUIRED AS PART OF THE CE LAW.

CPIA classes are given by the AIMS Society. For more information on the AIMS Society and CPIA designations, please visit their website.

Seminars will be held in Mobile & Montgomery from 8AM to 5PM.

If seminars convert to webinars, they will be split between two sessions for you to either take E&O, Ethics or both seminars. There will be poll questions to verify attendance. We use the GoToWebinar platform and it is best used in CHROME.

E&O Loss Prevention Seminar: Commercial Property Coverage Gaps & How to Fill Them Part 2 (This course is approved for Swiss Re & Fireman's Fund loss control credit and provides 3 hours of CE Credits.) Webinar time is 9:00 am-12 noon CDT.

Ethics in the Trenches (offers 3 hours of Ethics) Webinar time is 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm CDT.

2021 Property & Casualty Licensing School

Due to the ongoing COVID Virus, we will be changing the March P&C School to a webinar with hopes to keep the July and October at the Association office in Birmingham.

This course satisfies the Alabama Department of Insurance's 40-hour pre-licensing requirements. The course is held from 8AM to 5PM daily and provides the textbooks/study material.

If the school is converted to webinars, they will consist of five full-days of webinars. You will receive "five" links (one per day) and they will come from Michelle McKee with a GoToWebinar domain. If you have any technical issues with the webinar, please reach out to her. Tangerie Underwood will send all the important instructions regarding the school prior to the webinar, so please reach out to her if you have any education questions or do not receive the email.  Books and materials will be mailed to you prior to the school. We use the GoToWebinar platform and it is best used in CHROME.

Institutes held at physical locations will be a full-day with designation testing, if you desire. Class times are 8AM to 4PM. Locations are Birmingham, Foley, Florence, Huntsville, Mobile, Montgomery and Tuscaloosa.

If classes convert to webinars they will be a full-day webinar with polls to verify Attendance. You will receive "one" link for the course, along with instructions for testing. Testing will be available the following Monday through The National Alliance. CE is file with The National Alliance.
