Alabama Independent Insurance Agents, Inc.

Through the Big I" Markets platform, any Big I" member agency can quote and bind insurance online.  Big I" members also have direct access to Coalition's licensed agents and renowned cybersecurity experts via online chat throughout the sales and underwriting process.

Watch our brief Coalition Cyber Insurance Overview video and a demonstration of our streamlined cyber submission process to see how the quoting process works.

Our Mission

The mission of the Alabama Independent Insurance Agents is to be the unrelenting advocate for independent insurance agents and to fulfill member needs while serving the public’s best interest.

Become a Member

Being an AIIA/IIABA member, there will be someone to actively pursue your needs as an independent agent by keeping you informed within the insurance industry, provide you with opportunities for education and professional development, to advocate on your behalf and to provide you with the resources to give your agency a competitive advantage.

The RLI PUP program provides the best protection for the insured and their family.  The policy may be written either in the name of an individual, in the names of both spouses, or in the names of two unrelated individuals as long as they reside in the same household.  The insureds spouse and members of the insureds household who are relatives or are in the insureds care and custody are insured under policy.

I have high aspirations for the 2022-2023 year. InsurPAC is a focal point of not only the BIG I but also of the YA Committee. Jay Reynolds made an impactful statement on the panel, “The biggest threat to our industry is the Federal government.” Let’s support the pro-insurance legislators and legislation by donating to InsurPAC. One-time and recurring options are available on the AIIA website.

Another priority for this year is growing our YA committee. Newly appointed Regional Directors will be reaching out to agencies in their district bringing awareness to events hosted by the committee and promoting involvement from the younger generation.

The YA organization is not only for agents and producers but CSRs and Account Managers, too! I’m tasking those who attended the YA Conference to share their experience with their colleagues and encourage them to make plans to attend next year (July 27th – 30th).

I challenge the Associate Members, who frequently visit agencies across the state and are our “boots on the ground,” to consider sponsorships for First-Timers. A nominal investment in the next generation ensures the continuity of Independent Agents in Alabama. Let’s keep up the momentum of a successful conference and work together to make each year better than the last!

Thank you,
Coley Boone
