31st Annual Legislative Conference
February 22, 2018
The annual Legislative Conference provides a forum to educate members about the upcoming political and economic issues facing the independent agents in Alabama. It is hosted by the AIIA Young Agents. Past speakers include Governor Bentley, and prior Governor Riley, Bill Canary of the Business Council of Alabama, Cliff Sims of Yellowhammer News, Attorney General Luther Strange, several state supreme and appellate court justices, as well as the AIIA Lawmakers of the Year.
On behalf of the Young Agents and the Legislative Committees of the Alabama Independent Insurance Agents, we encourage you to join us for this FREE event.
This is an important legislative year to our association and it is vital that our presence is noted in Montgomery and our voices are heard. Your participation in this meeting helps accomplish that goal.
The Young Agents Legislative committee will met on January 17th to finalize the speakers for the 2018 conference. Once the speakers have confirmed, they will be posted. STAY TUNED!
Online Registration is available so register today!!!!
The event includes a line up of great speakers and lunch with state senators, representatives and high court judges at the beautiful RSA Plaza Terrace. We will have a chartered bus to get our group from Embassy Suites to the RSA Plaza.
To find your state legislators, go to The Alabama Legislature website.
We ask that you take this opportunity to visit with your lawmakers and thank them for their efforts on behalf of our industry. We generally have a great turnout of state legislators, so please join us to show equal support of them. Offer to be a resource for your representative to call on you when they have questions, or need information, about the insurance industry and pending legislation. They encourage us to speak up and be heard.
