| The Excalibur Educational Foundation is the educational arm of the
Alabama Independent Insurance Agents and the Alabama Young Agents Committee.
The Board of Directors is composed of members of the Alabama Independent
Insurance Agents, Eminent scholars or insurance chairs from our major universities,
members of the Young Agents Committee, and other industry related vocations.
The Foundation was established to provide scholarships to students considering
a career in the risk management and insurance industry. Three annual scholarships
have been awarded to date from contributions made by industry leaders.
The Board of Directors are currently pursuing a program to perpetually
endow the scholarship.
Applicants for the scholarship must be at least a Junior in an accredited
college program of risk management or insurance within the Alabama educational
system, have at least a "B" average, and ideally, but not absolutely necessary,
need financial assistance to continue their education.
Contributions to The Excalibur Foundation are tax deductible.
