AIIA Building on Schedule

The image on the right was taken this week and you can see how quickly we are advancing on our new home. Grading and packing for the building’s foundation pad is complete, and workers are now grading and filling the back of the lot. The building and parking areas have been staked out. Storm drains and pipe are laid and covered. Electrical connections have been run to the lot for the sub-contractors to do their work. The site work will be completely done and ready for the steel frame by October 1st or earlier if the weather cooperates.

IIABA NEWS: Virtual University Moving to Members-Only Access

As directed by the IIABA National Board of State Directors, the Big “I” Virtual University research and reference resources will be available free of charge as a member-benefit only for IIABA members beginning September 1. On that date, non-Big “I” members can purchase annual subscriptions online via a variety of non-member pricing plans.

IIABA has begun a notification process throughout the industry to inform members and non-members of the coming changes within the VU. This change should provide states with a great value-added service to offer to potential members. All non-member independent insurance agencies eligible for membership will be directed to contact the appropriate state Big “I” association to become members so they can receive free access to this great resource. It is important to note that subscriptions will not be required to access online VU classes. These courses will remain open to anyone who wants to access quality online insurance training.
